Art on the Fringe

Art on the Fringe is back!   Presented by Artists of Uxbridge

Art on the Fringe 2017 was a great success!

We will update this page when we start organizing the 2018 Art on the Fringe event … meanwhile you can read all about the past event below.

Art on the Fringe, or “The Fringe” as we call it for short, is in its eighth year.  The Fringe is a venue for emerging and established artists to display their work and includes paintings, ceramics, fiber arts, jewelry, furniture and more.  It offers a wonderful collection of creative artworks from more than 20 Exhibitors.

Artists of Uxbridge is presenting The Fringe.  We are a local art group established in 2005 to bring artists together promoting and supporting art in our community. This is our first year organizing The Fringe and we have found it both fun and challenging.  Overall, we are excited with the way it’s coming together and the tremendous community support!

Each September, Uxbridge holds a Celebration of the Arts featuring all types of art including visual arts, film, books, dance and theatre.  The Fringe is an event within Celebration and takes place on the same weekend as the Uxbridge Studio Tour.  The Fringe is listed in the online Studio Tour map so you can easily make it a stop on your travels.

The Fringe is a real community event with the local Girl Guide Pathfinders providing the refreshments.   They are planning a trip to Ecuador next year. You will be able to find out more about this directly from them when you visit The Fringe.

The Uxbridge Historical Centre (Museum School House) is a great venue with all exhibits and washrooms accessible.  Visit both the indoor and outdoor exhibits, enjoy the refreshments and listen to music provided by Fridays at the Foster.  The Museum is planning to hold events during The Fringe and will also have a table selling surplus items.

We still have a couple of spaces available so if you are interested in joining it’s not too late.  You can sign up below.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Fringe!
